From the recording Moon In The Daytime

Lyrics

Sometimes I see the moon in the daytime.
You wouldn't think that you'd see it then.
It's hanging out with the sun.
It turns out that they are friends.

Sometimes it rains when the sun is shining.
Should I pop my umbrella? Should I wear my shades?
The rain drops look like little fallin' bubbles.
A rainbow makes it a colorful day.

And when the sunlight bounces off a field of snow,
It's so much brighter than any summer day you've known.
When you take yourself outside,
You never know what kind of day you will find.

Some nights the moon's so big and round,
It seems to light up the whole night.
The trees all slow-dance with their shadows.
I can see so much, it's like having owl eyes

But other nights it is so dark,
You can't tell if your eyes are closed or open,
Until you see a shooting star.
As it flames across the sky, the darkness is broken.

And when the sunlight bounces off a field of snow,
It's so much brighter than any summer day you've known.
When you take yourself outside,
You never know what kind of day you will find.

Sometimes I see the moon in the daytime.
You wouldn't think that you'd see it then.
It's hanging out with the sun.
It turns out that they are friends.
